• Improve the security and welfare of vulnerable populations affected by the conflict.

• Promote solidarity and commitment at the national and international levels with regard to social problems caused by the armed conflict in Colombia.

• Contribute to building social capital by creating opportunities for life improvement for the target population through income-generating activities, training, and psychological and social support.

• Create support networks and methodologies for victims of violence, aimed at reintegrating them into civilian society as productive members who can support themselves and their families, and replicate these models throughout the country in partnership with other organizations.

• Demonstrate to those involved in the violence that a life dominated by weapons, destruction, and violence can be exchanged for a life of peace and reconciliation to which all Colombians are entitled.

As a second-tier organization, Tejido Humano raises and manages resources for the social and economic reintegration of Colombians affected by the armed conflict. With support from its strategic partners, it can implement projects that can be replicated throughout the national territory.

To become the organization that develops programs for rebuilding social fabric in Colombia through income-generating programs, training, education, and psychological and social support for populations affected by the conflict that can bring about peace and reconciliation, post conflict.

Tejido Humano was born on January 27, 2003. Its goal was to act as liaison between the different foundations working to assist populations affected by the armed conflict in our country by grouping together more than 29 foundations that seek to improve our nation’s social fabric. At present it includes an extensive network of organizations and foundations that offer assistance to victims and their families, mainly through income-generating activities, training, and education that help reintegrate all of these Colombians as useful and productive individuals helping to rebuild our nation’s social fabric.
